These might be my favorite birds that visit our yard. Well… except when something unexpected like a Hawk or a Heron flies through. Still – these brightly colored birds were a thrill when we moved here. I never saw them at our home in Sterling and their eyecatching bright color is something to see. I hadn’t yet gotten a good picture but am hoping this summer will bring lots. Here’s a cute one I got during the rain this week in our feeder area. It just seems to have so much personality in this picture. I hope you like it too!
