As part of our Bring Back the Monarch project I’ve been challenging myself as a photographer to get at least one unique “portrait” of each butterfly – whether it’s an image of the butterfly emerging or a more abstract, artful image. The image I liked most of the 2nd Monarch we released was a short instant where it sat on a flower.
It was only there a second or two but I love the colors. I did alter the color of the background because it was originally my dark, dreary, gray/blue driveway… so I just changed the hue of the blue a bit to look more appealing. I just love the way his wings are extended upward.
