Eastern-tailed Blue

The butterflies are becoming more and more plentiful as the days progress towards summer and the garden starts to bloom.  Today I followed this Eastern-tailed blue through the yarrow for a bit.  If you look at the motion blur on its abdomen you can even imagine how these little butterflies sit there rubbing their bottom wings together.  Loving all the yarrow in my perennial bed right now, even if it has taken over;).  It’s really got great color right now.  I’m anxious to see how it does this summer as last summer it progressed to fully white and lost most of the pretty purples and pinks we see right now in the spring.  Hoping the color holds on this year.
