this was around 4:30 p.m. or so&#8230; we were surprised by how still she was sitting.\u00a0 We were even able to move the flower without any reaction from the bee.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6287\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1477T.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1477T.jpg 900w, http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1477T-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Curious&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This morning when we came out for swim practice quite early she was still there &#8211; as she raised her middle leg in warning (a behavior I also read about online).\u00a0 So I left her alone and just observed a little longer.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6296\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1523T.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1523T.jpg 900w, http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1523T-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6298\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1525T1.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1525T1.jpg 900w, http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1525T1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Twice she attempted to fly off and hit the car.<\/p>\n<p>The third time she flew with less disorientation back to the potted zinnias but this time chose to sit under a leaf instead of atop a flower.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6299\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1529T.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1529T.jpg 900w, http:\/\/catinaanderson.com\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_1529T-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I am curious about this behavior.\u00a0 And I&#8217;ll keep an eye throughout the day to see if she stays there or disappears, or drops to the ground.\u00a0 Any ideas from experts about what this behavior may indicate?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE: as of 1:00 this afternoon she is no longer hanging out in the Zinnia pot&#8230;
