Space Shuttle Discovery

Yesterday the kids and I ventured out to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum’s Udvar-Hazy Center to see the Space Shuttle Discovery.  Here’s just one quick picture share for today (as we’re preparing for a swim meet this afternoon and working hard on our quilt squares for the Joshua’s Hands Valiant Warriors Project).  When I get everything sorted out and processed I will post about our whole trip.  But needless to say we had a GREAT day – maybe my favorite visit to this museum ever… and that was in large part focused on learning about this Space Shuttle.  I got my shutterbug on and took so many photos that it’s going to take me some time to decide what to share!  But if you have a trip planned to the Udvar-Hazy center before I get my post written I would recommend the IMAX movie about the space shuttle (The Dream is Alive) along with trying to at least listen in on a tour guide talking about the Space Shuttle.  More details to come!
