It’s becoming a “thing” here in our family – pictures of butterflies in the hand… what started out as one chance encounter has gradually become a collection of pictures of friendly butterflies (or full-on proof that walking in the heat results in sweaty people that attract butterflies… lol). At any rate – these quiet moments are some of the most magical – regardless. This moment was captured while we stopped along a creek near Natural Bridge in VA to feel the cool waters on this 90+ degree day. This butterfly (a Spicebush Swallowtail I believe) was stopping to enjoy the cool waters as well.
