You know a home is special…
… that a home is really, truly loved…
when the owners give it a name.
Last week I had the pleasure of visiting and photographing a breathtaking property the owners call “Moreh Oaks,” in Marshall, VA. In every room the attention to detail was absolutely captivating. I will be sharing photos from this home over the next week.
But today I wanted to start with the Master Bathroom – because it is absolutely my favorite master bath to date. Even a week out from the session I still keep coming back to that one room and saying wow… I just love the center back-to-back vanities, the arched shower door, the tile, the huge arched window over the tub, the peaceful, calming colors, the open, light-filled space… it takes my breath away.

The master bedroom had the same peaceful feeling. Exquisite, peaceful colors, and oh that fabric on the windows and the bedskirt… not to mention the amazing view out to the back yard, which when you are near the head of the bed look out toward the mountains.

I especially loved the built-in cabinetry in this room. The unique curves near the top are just beautiful. I came home and told my husband that one day I want this type of built in cabinetry across one wall in our bedroom.

And don’t you just love how she used an empty frame to accent the three, perfect blue flowers on the mantel? My pinterest-obsessed brain was trying to pin that idea before I even got home! Oh – and look over to the right in the photo above at the beautiful arched doorway. Beautiful details…

More to come from Moreh Oaks later this week. This property is listed by Linda Norris and Gloria Rose Ott of Armfield, Miller & Ripley Fine Properties, LLC.
