Marching Band Season has officially arrived. August brings long days of sun and fun, band camps, summer socials, and lots and lots of hard work by marching arts students everywhere.
It’s a time of hard work, great anticipation and much growth.
This month I will be helping one local team with staging their colorguard. For over 10 years I was a coach for this team and now, since my own kids are getting more and more busy I only help out when I can. Last season I was lucky enough to get to be their own personal “Mammarazzi” and follow the performers around from competition to competition practicing my action shots under challenging indoor conditions. I also did a portrait session with them at the end of their season and I thought, What better time than now to share some pictures from that team portrait session!
