I was absolutely thrilled to get the phone call last month from real estate agent Gloria Rose Ott of Armfield, Miller & Ripley Fine Properties (who I worked with previously on the Moreh Oaks property) and her partner for these listings, Linda Norris, asking if I would photograph the property directly next door to Moreh Oaks. I couldn’t wait to get back out to the beautiful Virginia hunt country to photograph another unique custom-built home.
I think I literally spent an hour outside. There was so much to take in. Gorgeous landscaping, views of the mountains, gazebos, a courtyard, tiered gardens… I felt like a landscape photographer. Certainly I could envision myself sitting on the front porch in the morning looking out towards the mountains and just feeling at peace. What blessings for these homeowners. Here are just a few highlights from this beautiful property session.
In one week I got to photograph four country estates with spectacular settings/views (I’ll share the other 3 soon!). Coupled with the gorgeous 60+ degree weather I was really in heaven. I mean – spending time outdoors photographing mountains and barns and fabulous landscaping combined with a couple hours indoors taking in 4 custom-built homes with unique features you just don’t see every day.
It was a good week!
I’m wondering if it might be possible as a photographer to specialize only in country homes… they just might be my absolute favorites.
